If you have been getting into steering rack rebuild, you may run into a stubborn and stuck inner ball joint nut. The Steering Rack Rebuild Tech Day photos may give you some idea of how tight these things can be stuck.

The picture here shows moderately expensive special made tools for handling this job. These are available from British Tool Company. (Look under "Latest and Greatest"). I believe these tools include a special BA standard nut used to secure the male stud of the ball joint to the fixture plate.
