NOTICE:
This page exists primarily because aftermarket brake shoes for MGA are very commonly undersize, too short end to end, so they cannot be adjusted to work properly without some modification of the mounting interface parts. Since turn of the centrury (to early 2026) the only parts I have found that fit properly came from Custom Spares Ltd in October of 2018.
In January 2021, someone was reporting suitable fit for MGA brake shoes from Moss Motors, USA, their part number 182-150 under the Classic Gold trade name. I have not yet had any opportunity to verify this, one way or the other.
In April 2026, someone was reporting the same undersize problem withMGB rear brake shoes (different part numbers), and again found good fitting MGB parts at Custom Spares Ltd.
