Chassis-less saloon design, based on Wolseley 4/44, with independent front suspension, rack and pinion steering and a BMC 'B'-series engine; 1489-cc, ohv (60 bhp at 4600 rpm) twin SU carburetors; 'ZB' (1956 on) had increased power (68.4 bhp at 5250 rpm); 'Varitone' version had a larger rear window. Approximately 36,600 built.
