The MGA With An Attitude
MGA HEATER DELETE - HR-102R2
The term "Heater Delete" may be a misnomer for the MGA. The original car being a "roadster" was essentially a street legal race car, stripped down to be light weight, so the heater was an optional accessory, not standard equipment. Ergo there was no "Heater Delete" option. But if you wish to delete the heater that may have been special ordered when the car was new (or aftermarket installed), then you will need to procure a few of the (probably missing) original equipment parts.
Notice the following parts in the illustration above.

6. AHH5396 Disc -blanking air tube (1 req'd with no heater)
7. ADH3809 Clip -fixing blanking disc (3 req'd)
105. AHH5252 Cover plate -heater aperture
106. AHH5253 Gasket -heater sealing (2 half pieces req'd)
107. PMZ0310 Screw -cover plate (8 req'd)
108. LWZ203 Washer -spring -screw (8 req'd)

These parts would be standard equipment in the base model MGA without a heater. Items 6, 7, 105, and 109 would be discarded (or omitted) when the heater kit is installed. Item 106 was apparently split in two when new, as the Service Parts List calls for two pieces as service parts. Maybe you could replace the two piece gasket without removing the heater from the car.
When you are deleting an existing heater you will need to procure the two missing plates and clips plus a new base gasket (possibly in two pieces) and the firewall blanking grommet or grommets). For the hot water Heater option there were two control cables passing through the bulkhead. For the Fresh Air Ventilation System option there was only one control cable passing through the bulkhead (no hot water valve). So depending on what you start with, you may need one or two blanking grommets.
You may also need a blanking plate and new gasket for the heater valve if you are removing the heater water valve. See additional notes for heater removal on the prior page.
