DRC is Dunlop Rubber company obviously and it's odd the Gordon Keeble wheels don't specify this.
I've certainly seen LP776 stamped on my rims in the past and I'm sure others have posted this code to the Yahoo / IO group in the past but I could not find this by searching the archive.
Some questions to Jim & others who may have loose spare wheels.
1. On the 4" wheel, what's stamped after 4j15 ?
2. Is the LP886 wheel a safety rim, with the additional safety bead like you can see on the 5" rim photo?
3. Can you post a photo of the code from the 5" rim please.
4. Externally if the LP776 rim is laid flat next to the LP886 rim do they look any different ? i.e. if they are both "J" offset rims, then it should be ΒΌ inch (6mm) inner and outer from the centre, so very hard to spot.
Anyone else got an LP886 wheels and know their origins ? Perhaps later cars or Deluxes came with slightly wider wheels as cross ply tyres began to be phased out.
I know from experience there are a wider range of 175 tyres available on the market to 165.
