Rover 200 T-Series, M16T DOHC Turbo Conversion - PP-503

"Last year I fitted a Rover 200 'T' series engine into it. This engine was the last in the line of the developments to the 'B' series originally fitted to a host of British cars. Twin cam, 16 valves, it produces 200 bhp in standard form! A tuning company here gets over 700 bhp from them in racing tune. I'm happy with 200! I've modded the front suspension and fitted larger brakes with a servo. I've fitted an intercooler low under the front bumper to try to keep the car looking as standard as possible. My car now is much more fun! It's viciously quick but still a nice drive around town, with it's straight through exhaust burbling away. This sort of work upset some people in the UK. I've even been told I don't deserve to keep the car if I don't keep it absolutely standard". -- Regards, Derek.

"This is my MGA with a 210 bhp Rover M16 Turbo engine fitted. Shortly to be on British eBay, as I'm building another! This time I'm using an old coupe so I get wind up windows. The intercooler is mounted below the front bumper on the car so it looks fairly stock". -- Derek Findlay

Addendum March 4,2024:
12 years and maybe a couple owners later, with a few more minor mods, it came up for auction again on historics.co.uk (for as long as the link may last).
