Appearing on eBay, September 2012. VINTAGE CIGARETTE/CARD CASE With MG Badge. The description said:
"Here is a vintage cigarette case from the classic 60s era. It has a beautiful scroll design embossed front & back with a miniature enameled MG badge to the front. It measures 4 1/2" x 3". It is in excellent condition".

So, listed as "new" and described as "vintage". I would be curious to know when the MG badge was installed.
