This page is mostly about the special screws securing the tail light lenses for the MGA 1600-MK-II cars. But since these are consecutive part numbers, the lenses will appear here as well. Except the red flasher lenses are non-consecutive and will be linked on a separate page.
The larger lens (always red) is for tail light and stop light. The smaller lens is for turn signal flasher and may be either red or amber depending on market country.
The screws are three different lengths, but otherwise similar. Thread size is 4 BA, 34-TPI. The plain shank lengths are 1 3/8", 7/8" & 9/16". Plain shank diameter is 0.154". Head style shown in the picture is Phillips drive round head, because that is what is widely available today. From the illustration, original head style may have been Phillips drive fillister head (or possibly cheese head), but those are probably no longer available. And since these are very special shoulder screws, it is unlikely that anyone would reproduce them in different head style for such small demand quantities.
The Service Parts List does not call for fiber washers (but it might be nice to use them to protect the plastic lenses).
