Thrust washers for all MGA engines, 1500, 1600, 1622, and Twin Cam. The smooth semi-circular [piece is the upper thrust washer. The piece with the tab is the lower thrust washer. The side with slots goes toward the rotating thrust face of the crankshaft. The smooth side goes against the engine block and center main bearing cap. The slotted bearing side may be white metal or may be copper color as the soft bearing surface, The remaining bulk of the material will be steel, visible on the flat side and around the edges.

Thrust washers are available in Standard thickness, or +0.003". When a crankshaft is re-ground, a small amount of material may be removed from the thrust surfaces, which increases end float of the crankshaft in assembly.
End float may be reduced 0.003" by installing oversize thrust washers on one side only.
End float may be reduced 0.006" by installing oversize thrust washers on both sides.

Some aftermarket parts may be noted to be 0.005" oversize. in this case they are commonly 0.0025" oversize on each side for total of 0.005". You might want to measure thickness to be sure. It is unusual to be more than 0.003" oversize for one piece, as the end float needs to be controlled within 0.003" total float range (to avoid clutch judder).
