I want to share how I solved part of the problem of senders that when the float is at minimum level the value is not zero but around 10 ohms. I had used a nail sand from my wife to take off enamel from front top of the resistance coil. Later I connected the ohmmeter to read the resistance value. Positioned the float at then low level. At this position I had 10 ohms. Then I connected a wire at the sender output and the other tip of the wire. I started to touch the wires I had exposed after sand them. Found the position where it would read zero ohms. Then I soldered, starting from the top of the coil stretching the solder down. Left the ohmmeter connected to monitor the resistance while soldering the wire coils until I get the minimum resistance possible, around 1 ohm.

My sender is working fine now. It was ranging from 11 to 90 ohms. Now it ranges from 0 to 80 ohms. A lot easier to calibrate the gauge by moving the coils.
