We get used to looking at pictures like this and don't give it a second glance, because we think all of the cars were the same, but they weren't. The first 65 cars had a different boot floor that was hand formed and assembled from multiple pieces. Car number 10166 was first with the proper production stamping for the boot floor (photos above).

There is a significant difference in appearance of the early parts, having flatter surfaces, sharper bend corners and more weld joints

Although LHD, North American Export Spec it was diverted to the Netherlands importer where it arrived fitted with a KPH speedo just prior to the 1956 Amsterdam AutoRAI show. It was rallied in 1957 and 1958 and in the original owner's possession from 1956 to 2006 after which it was professionally restored in the Netherlands. It remains on its original plates and is in its original colour scheme of black with red upholstery. It now has a matching red hood rather than the original black. Engine number is BP 15GB /229.
