These photos are provided by Edward Vandyk in the UK. This is a vintage rally boot lid with raised cavity to store the spare tire. In vintage rally it may have allowed space for two spare tires. If you can figure out how to support a single spare tire in the appropriate raised position this may allow more space in the boot for luggage.
